Although kiwifruit are generally available year round, they are at their freshest between March and June and make a delicious and healthy snack or dessert alternative. Kiwi fruit is high in Vitamin E which, among other things, is extremely good for helping to improve skin, hair and nail health. It’s best to buy slightly under-ripe kiwifruit that is firm and plump, and then you can ripen them at home. Avoid any that have split or wrinkled skin, or feel soft when pressed.
How can Kiwi’s help?
Vitamin E helps reduce the chances of your skin becoming dull and wrinkled by boosting the production of collagen, a key component in Nourish + Repair, and a protein that is key for maintaining a youthful glow. Vitamin E also repairs damaged hair follicles and encourages healthy hair growth, improved conditioning and shinier appearance.
